BACKGROUND:
The Boulevard Group, Inc, (BG) provides a wide range of services for urban development projects, including urban planning, zoning consulting, project analysis, design and construction management, and is particularly oriented to redevelopment of urban buildings and neighborhoods, with strong experience in the revitalization of inner city neighborhoods to mixed-use development. BG provides comprehensive program management services for large multi-project capital programs, from master planning through design and construction. BG’s program managers favor a partnering approach, always emphasizing project consensus and timely solutions to daily challenges. GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Project Manager works under the direct supervision of the Senior Project Manager and Project Director. The Project Manager is responsible for providing management and technical support for project development and implementation including HUD compliance, contract and procurement activities, various federal, state and local regulations and Agency policy requirements. This position assists with directing the short and long term planning, control and monitoring of project scheduling and implementation, program and project development, budget review, and adherence. The Project Manager is accountable for maintaining all project records, project information management, monitoring of the project budget, project contracts, procurement, design development, construction progress and serving as point of contact for all site-related project activities. The position works closely, as directed by the Senior Project Manager or Program Director, with development partners, Housing Authority staff, design and construction staff, contractors, City and County Representatives and Authorities having jurisdiction in resolving project development and implementation issues.
The Project Manager is a key position in the Program Management Approach undertaken by the Boulevard Group, Inc. This individual is central to the actions taken to advance program management operations of major revitalization efforts.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Civil Engineering, Planning and Development, Construction, or related field, and three to five years experience in the project management field. Experience needed as a manager/supervisor. Professional registration and/or a Master’s degree is a plus, but not required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This staff member completes most work functions in a general office environment. There are regular requirements to conduct field inspections and observations of the development activities. Public meeting and consultation processes require some evening and weekend participation on an infrequent basis.
